PASTORAL CARE

The Pastoral Care Commission ministers to the members of St. Catherine's parish family.

The work of this ministry is to provide support and other resources which demonstrate God’s love for the parishioners of St. Catherine’s.

This ministry includes: support for shut-ins and homebound parishioners and their caregivers with food, respite care and other needed resources; conduct social events such as Supper Clubs, celebrations, dances, receptions and picnics; intercessory prayer groups; organizing workshops, discussions and presentations on topics of interest to our parishioners.

The Pastoral Care Commission focuses on fellowship and loving care for all parishioners.  Their mission is two-fold, they plan parish events and also coordinate assistance for parishioners who are in a need or in a crisis situation.   One of the more popular functions is the administration of the Supper Clubs that meet monthly at the participants’ homes.  These provide the opportunity for fellowship and getting to know fellow parishioners.

OTHER MINISTRIES:

Other ministries supported each year include the St. Francis Memorial Garden, furnishing support and rehearsal facilities for the Tampa Bay Children’s Chorus, and furnishing facilities for the Christian Family Coop to meet once a week with their home schooled children for some peer group interaction.  St. Catherine’s also is host to approximately ten Twelve Step groups who regularly meet at our facility.
